What kind of Christmas would it be without sweet treats? We don’t really have to worry about calories – there’s going to be a lot of them. However, if you want to try something healthier and more fit, replace traditional Christmas recipes with these 10 fitness recipes. We have improved all of them by using healthy ingredients and perfected them over the time. They’re maybe even better than perfect! You don’t have to worry about their taste, you won’t even recognize them from the classic recipes. Let’s begin Christmas preparation!
1. Christmas Raw Balls
For 15 pieces of raw balls we need:
- 100 g almonds
- 20 g oat flakes
- 60 g banana
- 50 g dates
- 1 tsp gingerbread spice
- grated coconut and lemon peel for coating
First, use the mixer to mix oat flakes and almonds into a flour, then add banana, dates and gingerbread spice. Blend well to form a crumbly mass. Use your fingers to shape the mass into balls of the size of a walnut. Finally, wrap them in the coconut crumble which we have prepared by mixing coconut and grated lemon peel. All done!
2. Fitness Vanilla Crescents
- 250 g spelt flour
- 120 g ground almonds
- 90 g natural sweetener Erythritol
- 20 g cane sugar
- 150 g coconut oil
- vanilla sugar for coating (not necessary)
Use a larger bowl to mix flour, sugar, Erythritol and ground almonds. Create the stiff dough and put it in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes to make it even stiffer. Form pieces of dough into crescent shapes and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake at 150 °C for about 20-25 minutes(until golden brown on the bottom.). After baking, allow cookies to cool, and roll in vanilla sugar.
3. Cinnamon cookies
- 265 g spelt flour
- 60 g butter
- 1 egg
- 100 g cane sugar
- A few drops of vanilla Flavordrops
Cinnamon icing ingredients:
- a little juice from one lemon (or orange)
- 50 g cane sugar
- 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
Mix the egg, cane sugar, vanilla flavdrops and room-temperature butter in a large bowl until the mixture is foaming. Then add flour and make a stiff dough. Put the dough in the refrigerator.
Cinnamon icing is easy to make – mix sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and set it aside for a while to let the sugar melt. Then take the dough from refrigerator, roll it in the shape of a rectangle and apply the icing on it. Roll it into a roll and then cut into circles approx. 0.5 cm thick. Put the circles on a baking pan lined with baking paper. If you have excess icing, apply it on the circles. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 170 ° C until the edges get golden tone.
4. Banana canapes with peanut butter
- 2 bananas
- 100% peanut butter (crunchy)
- dark chocolate
- coconut / confectionery (colored balls, etc.)
Cut bananas into circles approx. 1 cm thick. Use a spoon to apply peanut butter on top (not too much). Pour dark chocolate on top and sprinkle with coconut or confectionery. Put in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Voila! Can it be easier?
5. Dates with surprise
- stoned dates
- white chocolate
Open the dates and fill with melted white chocolate (it is not necessary to overdo it since the dates are already sweet enough). After that, put a quarter of the walnut inside and close the date. All done!
6. Pizza sticks
- 150 ml of water
- 4 scoops of protein Pizza Mix
- 1 tsp salt
- cheese and ham to sprinkle
Prepare the base following the instructions on the packaging of protein pizza mix – mix water with powder, add salt and create a dough, which is spread on a baking pan in the shape of a rectangle. Place in a heated oven at 250 ° C for 8 minutes. Then remove the pizza base, add the remaining ingredients as you wish – cheese, ham, herbs, and bake for another 2 minutes. Finally, cut into sticks. Bon appetite!
7. Protein gingerbread
- 300 g wholemeal spelt flour
- 1 pack baking powder
- 1 tsp gingerbread spice mix
- 30 g (1 scoop) Just whey protein (Chocolate milkshake)
- 120 g honey
- 1 egg
- 50 g butter
- 50 g coconut oil
- egg (to brush on top)
First, mix the flour with baking powder, protein and gingerbread spice mix. Melt the butter and coconut oil, and mix it with the egg and honey into the flour mixture. Create the dough and place it in the refrigerator for a night or at least an hour. Then divide the dough into two halves, roll it and cut it into little gingerbreads. Finally, put gingerbread cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, brush with egg wash, and bake at 200 °C for 5-10 minutes.
8. Pudding wraps
- 250 ml milk
- ½ a pack of vanilla pudding
- 1 tbs agave syrup
- 1 puff pastry
- raspberry (or other) jam
- egg for glazing
First, cook the vanilla pudding following the instructions. Then cut the puff pastry into 16 equal pieces. Eight of them will be filled with a teaspoon of pudding and ½ teaspoon of jam. Cover the top with the rest of the cut dough pieces and press the edges with a fork to create a wrap. Place on a baking pan, glaze with an egg and bake at 170 ° C for about 20-25 minutes until it gets golden tone.
9. Christmas coconut balls
- 200 g ricotta
- 35 g cottage cheese
- 20 g Just Whey protein (Vanilla icecream)
- 50 g cane sugar
- 50 g grated coconut
- 1 tbsp of white yogurt
Mix everything together and put in a refrigerator or freezer. Create balls from the mixture and put almonds inside. Let it solidify again. Finally, add some chocolate glaze.
TIP: You can also make biscuits by baking them in the oven at 150 °C for 30-40 minutes.
10. Chocolate-cottage cheese Swiss roll with raspberries
- 120 g plain flour (wholemeal / spelt)
- 1 baking powder pack
- 100 ml of water
- 4 eggs
- 105 g dark chocolate
- 85 g butter
- 100 g cane sugar
- 330 g curd
- 35 g honey
- 3-5 drops of vanilla Flavordrops
- 50 g cane sugar
- 30 g Just whey protein (Vanilla Icecream)
- 200 g yogurt
- frozen raspberries (or other fruit)
- optional: 100 g dark chocolate and 10 g coconut oil for chocolate topping
Melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave, add sugar and mix. Mix the egg whites separately. Mix the yolks into chocolate, then add flour with baking powder and mix again. Water is added as needed, but it should not be overdone so that the dough is not too thin (but it cannot be too thick, because the Swiss roll would break when rolled). Finally, add the egg whites. Pour on a baking pan and bake at 175 ° C for 10-15 minutes.
Now prepare a creamy icing in the blender by mixing all the filling ingredients (except raspberries).
After baking, put the dough on a clean cloth and roll it slowly. Let it cool down. When the dough is completely cool, roll it out and spread with curd filling and sprinkle with raspberries. Roll the dough back and let it solidify. Finally, the roll can be covered with chocolate and served.
